Greetings to all of ye.
This is a topic which hasn't been spoken of (at least on the forums) for some time: when and where will our first in-game meeting be? The "when" is more important that the "where", but it's always fun to find a place that we might call our own, at least until Turbine releases the housing/kinship hall expansion. Perhaps later on we'll post a thread with a poll to see where we should meet (with some locations, of course).
I also wanted to know if there was any interest in a music-fest of some kind. I know that a few members (myself included) thoroughly enjoy the music system we have in LotRO, and I thought it'd be a fun way to have everyone get together and get to know one another. We might be able to combine the meeting and the music fest. Well, suggestions?

First, I think the music thing is a fun idea.
For the meeting, I usually don't play much during the week. Maybe an hour a day if I'm lucky. But I'm on all day weekends. So if it's a weekend, I'll be there. If it's during the week and before work, I'll be there.

Under the "Suggestions" Forum, I've tried to flesh out some ideas in the Topic "Kinship Improvements" that have been successful for me in other games, for development of Kinship In-World meetings. Please review, comment and consider.

Good to know that there's a bit of interest, thanks Nulak
Thanks Wyrm, I'm sure Nain'll have plenty to add about gathering kinships for meetings as well. guild meetings in Ironforge are no picnic, heh.

in game meetings are no picnic. It sounds like a fun and cool idea, having the kin meet every few weeks, but in reality alot of people see it as an unwelcome obligation. Still, there are realistic ways that we can hold meetings (maybe have the officers meet every so often and anyone else who WANTS to come can go )
Not puttting the idea down or anything, the DA in ironforge was a much more casual guild then I anticipate we will be.

Agreed. I would encourage EVERYONE to attend them, but then again, nobody likes obligations. I thought that, as Wyrmcleaver suggested in his kinship suggestions thread, we might hold our meetings in the Thorin's Halls tavern; Other possibilites could be Noglond (although it's a bit laggy) or by the waterfall/bridge in TH (though that could prove a bit distracting...) Plus fun little events are always great; duels, races, music nights, etc.
I'd like to apologize for my inactivity of late. I haven't been in game as much as I would like...AP Tests and final exams and the like. Next week will be much better for me, game-wise.
