Warhammer: Age of Reckoning « Result #2 on Sept 18, 2007, 2:10pm »
Greetings Dwarves of the Glittering Caves,
My name is Duerghaul, Thane (Captain) from the guild Stone and Steel. I am not here in any official capacity, just an overture in its own right. As a Dwarf or Dwarf leaning guild, I would like to call your attention to a new game coming out called Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, which I'm sure some of you might have heard of already. This game is going to feature RvR combat (Realm vs Realm) not unlike Dark Age of Camelot's PvP mechanic. In order for our faction (Order), and more importantly our race (Dwarfs), to win and triumph over the Greenskins of Destruction, we are hoping to drum support from the rest of the Dwarf online community. Your guild, with its experience from past MMORPG's would be a welcomed addition to the front.
This is not an attempt for your members to join Stone and Steel, but an attempt to have your successful guild check out Warhammer Online and consider playing as your own clan. By joining some of the already established Dwarf guilds out there and adopting the same server, I believe that we can create a community of Dwarf players that is not only successful and celebrated in RvR, but also foster camaraderie and fun that will be exciting for all guilds and members involved. This may sound like some silly commercial for Warhammer Online, but it is merely an attempt to bring together the online Dwarf community in a new game that I and my guild are very excited about. Warhammer isn't being released til the first quarter of 2008, so your guild has plenty of time to investigate it and consider playing.

Korgan! It is good to see you, even though you bring ill news. I'm very sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances. What you have said explains a lot, and makes me feel better. I had thought for awhile you weren't planning on joining the game at all! Take your time with the game, it's second to RL, but if you can try and keep us posted. We've all missed you, and look forward to you joining us in game.
The name of the new kinship is Khazad Kibilgatholul. This means "Dwarves of the Silver Fortress", which I think is a great name. Currently, only Brod can recruit because there was a minor misspelling with the first attempt, and so we had to disband that one. We don't have a guild website yet, but a LotRO forum kinship listing is sure to come soon. Once again, any are welcome.

tis a sad day to see the dotgc die A fresh start is probably the best thing for you guys to do.I wish you guys the best of luck on yer new guild.
Edit: The reason i haven't joined you guys in lotro yet is becuase i had been going thru a very messy divorce. The last few months have been hell and i didn't feel like doing anything.I do still plan on picking up lotro and joining you guys but i'll be straped for cash for awhile,so it will probably be months before i pick up the game.I still have my wow account that i haven't played in months(probably start messing around on it again till i get lotro)so if you guys still have a active account you'll probably be able to catch me on there a few hrs on the weekends.Post yer new guild website/forums here so i can keep in touch with you guys.

The Road Goes Ever On and On... « Result #6 on Aug 1, 2007, 7:59pm »
Greetings, my bretheren,
It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. The unfortunate thing is, I doubt that more than two or three people actually bother to check these forums anymore, and so the effort seems fairly wasted. I'm making this post to announce that Brodomir and I have stepped down as council members, and taken our leave from the Dwarves of the Glittering Caves.
It was not a decision we made lightly. To be quite frank and honest (not just to myself, but to everyone), the kinship has died a horrible, slow and painful death. Our most active members got on over a month and a half ago. Most of the newest posts on the forums (new and old) were made months ago. For awhile, it was working out in game. But a few things just did not work out, and now the kinship has deteriorated. As much as I protested in my own mind, and hoped for the rejuvination of this kinship, it simply did not (and most likely will not) happen. I hate to say it; this kinship was the group of players I wanted to go into LotRO with, and I had a great time with you all both in and out of game. Many of us have been here for years, which makes this all the more bitter. I'm just sorry it had to end this way.
But there is some good news; Brodomir and I have moved on to create a new all-dwarven kinship. This is an open call for all DotGC members who are still active in the game and wish to continue playing on their Dwarven characters with familiar people. Hopefully things will go well for us, and we can make it a success. I'll post the name later (it's a bit wordy, but it means "Dwarves of the Silver Fortress"). Anyone interested has only to ask Brodomir or Bromrin in game (we can both recruit). Bidding you all a fond (but hopefully not final) farewell,

I am trying to get more active as well, with work it's a bit tricky. I got on on monday and tuesday this week, making good progress so far through barrow downs and old forest.

Hello, everyone, it's been awhile...I just thought I would post to see if anyone checks this website anymore. I'll be starting my end of year exams tomorrow, and will be done as of next wednesday, so i'll be on a lot more in the evenings. I've been a bit inactive lately because...well, nobody seems to be on when I come online. So, if anyone's looking for a hunter by there side, you know who to call. -Bromrin
